The previous owner shared this opinion, that’s for sure. The Jaguar was always maintained by Jaguar specialist Stouten & Keijmel. As winter approached, the Jaguar was stored indoors for a longer period of time, year after year. No less than 15 years in a row. By the way, that is an interesting story; The previous owner was active in the car industry. To avoid road tax during winter storage and still remain insured, the Jaguar was invariably indemnified every year and then renamed with the first rays of sunshine of the new season. Get into the Jag and you will enjoy the most beautiful dashboard from the 90s and 00s. The interior in Champagne leather. Of course you will find burl walnut wood in abundance, the gear knob and the steering wheel are also equipped with it. The seat, the steering wheel… as if time has stood still. It is clear; This is a well-preserved copy. Important detail; The 4.2 V8 is the first AJV8 that actually no longer has plastic chain tensioners and guides, so don’t worry about that, the modification is not relevant.
You also notice it in everything when you drive this Jaguar; the car is in top condition. It’s the little things that make this stand out. This way, the car steers very tightly, without any play in the parts of the chassis. The six-speed gearbox changes gears smoothly and almost imperceptibly and the engine runs nicely, as it should.
Even the original cover for the convertible top is present, of course also in Champagne. A windstopper in the exact color scheme is supplied with the car, as visible in the photos.
Are there any negatives, you ask? I honestly can’t think of any. To mention something; The front bumper shows minor damage at the front left, although this is not noticeable. Not a problem, but worth mentioning. Was that it? Yes, that was it. Compare that to the average offer and you will be amazed.
The key set consists of 2 keys with remote control. The complete service folder, maintenance invoices and history are present with the Jaguar. Naturally, maintenance was carried out last week so that the XK is completely ready for the new enthusiast.
