A well maintained, high quality X300 is becoming rarer and rarer.
This XJ6 in the beautiful color Sapphire Blue Metallic just has it; An interior and exterior in great condition, a chassis in top condition, everything really exudes quality. No strange damage, no parking dents, no dull paint. That says something about the way this Jaguar has been driven in recent years, cherished in this case. Definitely worth the investment, there’s no doubt about that.
The XJ6 was originally delivered new in Belgium. Given the condition of the classic, we brought it to the Netherlands to further detail it, and we succeeded!
The XJ is equipped with a color that is not common with an X300; Sapphire Blue Metallic. The interior is made of beautiful Cream leather, leather in very good condition. Of course you will find burr walnut in abundance. The woodwork looks beautiful and is in very neat condition.
However, where time never seems to stand still is above your head, at the headliner. Sooner or later, whether driven a lot or not at all, the glue slowly releases. Because this completely negated the condition of the car, we renovated it professionally. it really looks great and can look forward to the next 18 years.
The XJ6 looks very original; Original Jaguar radio, revised digital clock, no built-in car kit, just as it should be.
The engine is the reliable 3239CC six-in-line, which is known of running large numbers of kilometers without any problems. We recently had major maintenance carried out by our technical partners. No expense has been spared.
During the maintenance, it was noticed that the bottom of the XJ is very neat and shows virtually no rust, unique. For example, footrests are ‘hard’ and the rear subframe is in good condition. Of course there are photos of this. No rust is visible at the lower corners of the rear window and the wheel arch edges look sleek and original. Not strange, the XJ6 had a Dinitrol treatment in the past, which prevents rusting.
The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, the suspension feels solid. A ‘singing’ differential is a known ailment of the X300 Jaguars and Daimlers. The differential of this Jaguar is of course very quiet, inaudible. Cruise control and on-board computer work as they should, as do all the functionalities of this XJ.
The chrome on both bumpers, which is becoming scarce these days, is also in top condition. The original Jaguar Dimple rims are in new condition because they have been re-coated and the XJ6 stands on four neat tires with good tread. The previous owner installed a set of X308 clear headlamps; as a result, the light output is somewhat greater and the front looks nice and fresh. Of course, if desired, this can be brought back to its original state in consultation.
An X300 is often seen as Jaguar’s most reliable XJ. Due to the relatively short production period, the model is now also becoming scarce; a good copy is increasingly difficult to find. It goes without saying that an X300 in this condition is a good investment.
The XJ6 is delivered with a new MOT, valid until November 2023. The service folder is of course present, complete with the maintenance booklet. Our latest invoices are also available, digitally.
The key set consists of two keys and one working remote control.
