It is a beautiful combination, Cobalt blue metallic with the cream interior. The original woodwork matches well. Add to that the renewed, perfectly cooling air conditioning and you have a beautiful daily driver!
The originally Belgian XJ was registered in the Netherlands in 2011. Until 2024, the Series 3 had only 2 owners, the last of whom owned the XJ for no less than 10 years. The XJ looks original and maintained, which is a good sign.
Now to today’s facts. After arrival we carried out maintenance. The air conditioning pump was replaced, along with the dryer and some pipes. The climate control works flawlessly; set the preliminary temperature and the system cools or heats itself until this temperature is reached. Ideal during hot days, but also in winter, air conditioning alternately removes moisture from the air.
The MOT was subsequently renewed, which is now valid until June 6, 2026. Completely ready for the next enthusiast!
Of course we also checked the XJ’s undercarriage. This one looks surpisingly good. The bottom is ‘hard’ and original. The inner wheel arches, radiator box and sills are very neat, no serious rust is visible. The bodywork shows no rust on the outer wheel arch edges and under the front and rear windows. Special! Where some rust is noticeable are some of the corners of the doors. Minimal, but worth mentioning.
The new owner will enjoy it to the fullest. Enjoy the smooth-shifting gearbox. Enjoy the wonderfully comfortable, soft leather chairs. Enjoy the beautiful paintwork. And enjoy the wonderful 4.2 inline-six.
This XJ is a pleasant car for daily use, also for business use. Additional charge on current value, road tax in the Netherlands: €0,-. The original guidance is delivered with the Jaguar.
There is still a lot to say about this Jaguar, but you will of course only get a good impression when you view and drive the car. You are very welcome in Oirschot, the coffee is ready.
