The Netherlands is a car-loving country. In Spain, other things have priority; that’s a reason why it is a great holiday destination. If you are regularly on the Spanish coast or on the Balearic Islands for a longer period of time, as a car enthusiast you would like to have your favorite car available. A decent Range Rover for example, or a Jeep Wrangler, both ideal for the mountainous landscape in Ibiza, for example. Ideal for trailering the boat and big enough for the whole family.
When it comes to mobility, we combine our automotive quality with Spanish registrations, so that you can enjoy all that Spain has to offer with your favorite car!
How, you would ask? First of all, you will find a range of usually youngtimers that are roadworthy. Usually these cars come from the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany and have been brought to Spain by us. This concerns a transaction in the Netherlands, after which the car is registered in your name in Spain. Would you like to take your current car to Spain or do you want us to take care of a car for you, that is also possible. We then bring it to Spain and take care of the entire import process until the car is roadworthy.
That sounds simple, but it isn’t. Spanish regulations differ a lot from Dutch regulations. However punctual we are in the Netherlands when it comes to our cars, the regulations regarding imports into the Netherlands are so licentious. A towbar, for example, can be mounted without much fuss in the Netherlands, in Spain this is only possible under certain circumstances. In the Netherlands you can fit different size rims and even different size tires without mention, in Spain that is not just possible. The method of testing and checking during MOT is also different, so that a car approved in the Netherlands can be rejected again in Spain. Not to mention the lengthy paperwork prior to the inspection and registration.
In short, a tough job. And that’s just not what you want to have, at your holiday address. We therefore take care of the complete import process for you. The correct Dutch and Spanish documents, the admission inspection in Spain, the application for the Spanish registration and the actual ascription. Of course also a new MOT, in Spanish ‘Inspección Técnica de Vehículos’ abbreviated ITV or Iteuve. If desired, we can arrange the transport and insurance of the vehicle.
