We are never talking about men’s cars or women’s cars. Enthusiast cars, that’s what we sell here. The first owner is a real enthusiast. From 2010 she was the proud driver of this XK, recently she opted for the F-Type Coupe. A unique opportunity for me to get my hands on this beautiful XK from the first owner!
Because wow, this XK beautiful. The beautiful color Vapor Grey, not to be confused with Lunar Grey. Vapor Gray has a beautiful, light bronze glow in sunlight. Leather in the color Caramel. Figured Ebony wood inlay. A lovely Alcantara headlining in the color Caramel. A new set of carpet, trimmed with the same Alcantara, finishes it off.
The first owner, a Dutch lady, drove the XK for her company in Belgium. Newly delivered at Cito Jaguar in the Netherlands, registered directly in Belgium, a very common situation.
No expense has been spared on maintenance. You hear, see and feel that in everything. Drive on a bad road and the Jaguar remains solid and stable, which sometimes is different in the market. Unstable handling, worn steering wheel, hanging headliner, moving driver’s seat… This XK is so different. One year ago, the entire cooling system was treated; water pump and many hoses were renewed. We also placed a new Alcantara headliner, as said. A major overhaul was carried out on our behalf in November 2021, the entire braking system was also renewed during this intervention. A cost of more than € 2,600,-. Given the special condition and the higher price range, we supply this XK with a full 3-month warranty.
Well, even back to the interior of this XK. Because that is wonderfully complete. As mentioned, there is both seat heating and cooling. The steering wheel is also heated, luckily can be switched on separately. Leather on the door panels, leather at the dashboard. Bowers & Wilkins sound system, 525 watts. Of course electrically adjustable seats, with memory function. Pure enjoyment!
Beautiful, original Jaguar Caravela rims in 19 inch, fitted with nice Bridstestone tires in good condition. In fairness, I mention that some rims showing curb damage, although this is not visible directly. Bi-Xenon headlights. Even Jaguar Smart Key System is present, so you can open and start the XK keyless, a huge convenience.
A lovely XK with in my eyes the finest engine. 515Nm and 385HP is generously sized. Handle the accelerator with care and you’ll be driving comfortably. Consumption then remains relatively limited, after 10 years this was on average at 11 liters per 100 km, which comes down to 1 liter per 9 km. ‘Winter mode’ ensures good and safe driving, even on slippery road surfaces.
Do you like more speed and dynamics, then the XK is a very fast Coupe. ‘Dynamic mode’ guarantees a later upshifting gearbox and stiffer suspension. Traction control can be switched off, and a real party starts! The discreetly roaring V8 pushes the Bridgestone rubber to its limit and beyond, the rear looks for grip. Great driving!
Nice side effect; The Jaguar is subject to VAT. Of course the price mentioned includes 21% VAT. For Dutch entrepreneurs, this means that the tax authorities will reward a business purchase of this hobby with a refund of €5,200,-.
The documentation folder is included with the car. There are two keys, both in new condition. The XK has its Dutch registration, but has not yet been named. This makes the buyer the second official owner of this Coupe and the first owner in the Netherlands or any other country.
There is still a lot to say about this Jaguar, but you only get a good picture when you look at the car and drive it. you are most welcome in Oirschot, the coffee is ready.
